Mordros means the sound of the surf. In the hamlet of Trevone we turned an old bungalow into a holiday home for a family from St Albans: four bedroom suites, a large open-plan living space, and a garden made for being outside.
Inside there is a wood burner in the living room and an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge. A wet room at the back is there for washing wetsuits after the beach.
The garden has a fire pit set into a curved oak seat, a hot tub, and an oak pergola over the barbecue. The new front is a timber and dark-clad bay with a glazed opening the full height of the room behind it.
